Blistered Fingers
is an Awesome, Fast
moving Traditional Bluegrass Band from the Central Maine area that travels
extensively around the Northeast and Eastern Canada cranking out incredibly
enthusiastic music to audiences. The band started in 1987, Sandy Cormier, with
her powerful vocals together with solid lead guitar playing, sings lead as well
as harmony with the group. She played and sang Country Music with her parents
before she started singing Bluegrass Music.
Her husband, Greg Cormier, comes from a musical
family also giving him a strong background for some fine banjo work. Greg &
Sandy live in Waterville, Maine. Their son, Chad who lives in Vassalboro, Maine
with his wife Jenn and their children, SavAnna & Lucas joined the band in 1997
playing the mandolin along with other instruments. Chad also sings lead and
harmony. Bob Kelley rejoined the band in Feb 2010. Bob lives in Houlton, Maine
with his wife Connie and 4 daughters. Bob plays the fiddle, sings lead &
harmony. He also plays other instruments and has performed with his father
several times. Blistered Fingers latest member, Toby Saucier joined the band in
the spring of 2011. Toby plays the upright acoustic bass, sings lead and
harmony. He grew up playing other instruments also. Toby lives in Fort Kent,
Maine with his wife Jen and 2 children.
Blistered Fingers
has been awarded Maine's #1 Bluegrass Band of the Year by the Maine Country
Music Association in 1998, 1999 & 2000 and also placed in the "All Time Greats"
category! In 2004, 2005, & 2006 Blistered Fingers was also voted "Bluegrass Band
of the Year" by the Maine Academy of Country Music.
Blistered Fingers delivers high-energy musical
entertainment and renders a truly superb stage show, which will long be
remembered by everyone who sees it.
